P.O.W.A.R. stands for: "Preserve Our Water Access Right-of-Ways". A meaningful association that supports the ability for ALL citizens of Michigan to be able to access our State water ways as citizens have for decades & throughout history.
P.O.W.A.R. is known within the political arena as a State wide association which represents ALL citizens throughout the whole State of Michigan with the objective to preserve the ability for citizens to access Michigans public waters.
The H.L.C.A. participates as a strong associate to P.O.W.A.R. The focus of outstanding legislation supporting the best interest of the majority public regarding accessing our water ways has been directed to our immediate area. Therefore, P.O.W.A.R. members and directors have a vested interest in our area due to our communities having to focus on accessing issues for which P.O.W.A.R. can utilize within their efforts conducive to political direction for facts and support throughout the legislative process.
The participation of P.O.W.A.R. within the legislative arena for direction is important and vital as P.O.W.A.R. represents ALL citizens of Michigan and the fact that Preserving access to our States water ways directly relates to the citizenship of the WHOLE STATE citizenship population.
The political sector in Michigan recognizes P.O.W.A.R. as a meaningful association which voices the position of ALL citizens of Michigan who deserve the ability to access our water ways as families have enjoyed throughout history. P.O.W.A.R. recognizes the important impact the recreation industry has on our States economy, thus supporting the ability to access our water ways which can preserve and enhance the benefit of our citizenship as a whole.

The efforts of groups who continue to minimize our accessing abilities for thier own benefits needs to be shared throughout the whole state citizenship population. They continue to seek action through needless litigation, selfish gains and false truths about their intentions for minimizing access to our state water ways. They wish to more/less privatize our water ways for their own gains. Through the efforts of P.O.W.A.R., more and more citizens of Michigan are becoming aware the importance for preserving the ability of ALL citizens being able to access our water ways. Do your part by informing anyone you may know from other lakes and water way communities. Help make ALL citizens of Michigan aware of the efforts of certain groups that attempt to derail accessing abilities to our water ways which have a negative effect on our states economic base, family historical use, property values and more! Contact your State Senators, request them to support the passage of bills 4463 & 4464 which are in the best interest of ALL citizens of Michigan!! Don't stop! Continue to correspond to our State political leadership! Help to inform other citizens of Michigan who you personally know that will be directly effected by such negative actions imposed upon us by those who wish to privatize our water ways for their own selfish gains. Michigans water ways are for ALL citizens to enjoy through meaningfull access as we have historically!
