PLEASE ADJUST YOUR SCHEDULE AND ATTEND OUR 2008 ANNUAL MEETING!

             WE'VE CHANGED THE ANNUAL MEETING DATE TO.....

          HIGGINS LAKE ANNUAL MEETING: MAY 24, 2008 - 10:00AM.

Our road end bills (4463 &4464) are due for a Senate Committee hearing. Our objective is to prepare you for this so you'll know what to do.

Accordingly, the normal time for the Higgins Lake Annual meeting is in mid-summer
July. We are moving the Annual meeting date to MAY 24, 2008 at 10:00am, Roscommon High School Auditorium.

We can't impress upon you the importance for attending this meeting. It's suggested, if you cannot make the meeting yourself, have someone there to represent your interest.

Also, our correspondence efforts have proven effective as we have learned many of you need to update your correspondence information. We suggest you review your correspondence information at the Annual meeting so we may be assured you are receiving important membership information throughout the year and as needed.

As many know, we haven't updated our web site in recent weeks. This has been due to our continued legislation participation. Many efforts to address our legislation in Lansing has been done via a series of extended meetings with members of the Senate that have taken place over the past several weeks. Attending these meetings have been time consuming due to the schedules and agendas of the Senators. We didn't want to inform visitors of our web site with partial information throughout the time it took to discuss matters with members of the Senate.

Many of you have contacted your Senators in support of our bills. Thank YOU! Our "Grass-Roots" efforts have been outstanding and YOUR efforts to participate have certainly had an impact on the Senate members willingness to meet with us in order to discuss our bills and the importance of passage.
