It's important for you to stay an active member of the H.L.C.A. The front lot special interest group, along with their attorney, continue to mask activities that support their goals of limiting use of and access to Higgins Lake. Whether it's keep the lake levels low, supporting abandonments, opposing boat ramps, threatening litigation, or lobbying the State legislature to spread self-serving Jacobs decision to ALL inland lakes in Michigan, their underlying mission benefits only a minimal number of their members who think like they do.
I you haven't done so already, Please pay your $30.00 annual dues. You can send your payment to P.O. Box 40 Higgins Lake, Mich. 48627 or you can pay utilizing our PayPal web site link. YOU can also pay upon attending our annual meeting on July 30, 2011. We will have staff on hand to receive your dues. In addition, a donation to our debt retirement fund is appreciated. Our web site program allows for spreading donations over several months to increase affordability.

FUND - RAISING AUCTION: Commences between 7:30 or 8:00 pm.
The public is invited to enjoy this outstanding evening of fun as the H.L.C.A. hosts its annual fund-raising auction.
All items up for auction are donated by local businesses throughout the immediate area.
There is a large variety of auction items to bid on. From hand-made outdoor furniture and lake cottage items, to kids toys, cosmetics, tools and event tickets~

YOU simply can't go wrong with this one! The Silver - Dollar is offering a very scrumptious "German - Platter" dinner combo.
A variety of German meats and fixn's served on a large platter at a special low price determined just for this event. The "German - Platter" is a hardy meal with a wide variety of food.
YOU won't be disappointed. And believe us... YOU certainly can count on your hunger being satisfied with this outstanding meal offer.

The Higgins Lake Civic Association held its annual meeting JULY 30, 2011.

We're seeking additional people to become part of the H.L.C.A. board of directors and within other areas of volunteer participation. The strength of the H.L.C.A and its purpose will come from the participation of interested volunteers. In as much as the H.L.C.A. has become a recognized & respected association conducive to providing meaningful efforts that benefit so many people, the economics of the area, and well being of the lake, we wish to expand our leadership participation to better serve our membership base, the lake, and communities within our area.
